O ok cool, since correction officers would now be consider police officers under the new title, would new recruits and current CO's get taught title 39 or that's something correction officers will not need to be taught? My question is- Why do the Essex county deputy sheriff program instead of an alternate route program? Makes no sense to pay all that money to only have a SLEO II cert when you can spend about the same and have a full cert.

They have two different open hiring processes. One for PTC Class A certs and one for entry-level examinations
