Written test is May 7th, if its the same as the past, you’ll be called to pickup a study guide a month or so prior to test day.
Did you get a reply back from NJIT notifying you of that or did you know the written test date off hand ?

I am just aware the NJ Police Chiefs Association will be administering their written exam on May 7th for NJIT.

I’ve heard some talk that certain individuals received an email from an NJIT Sergeant stating that he would be in touch with them soon with information?

So did I, you think they sent that email to everyone who applied or just picked applicants who they felt best fit based off their cover letter and resume ?

I am thinking they hand picked applicants as I know some who applied did NOT receive an email. Best of luck to those that seem to be moving on!

Has anyone who applied in the last 3-5 days gotten an email back? So far, The few people I know who have heard back applied early March as soon as the job was posted.

Does anyone know if they work rotational 12 hour shifts or are they on permanent 8 hour shifts?

Work 12 and rotate in 5 months, so they don’t have to pay their cops that work nights the shift premium pay they would be entitled to (contractually those officers are entitled to a whopping $500 stipend once working 95 shifts). Supervisors never rotate however. It wasn’t always like that though. It was steady until a few years ago.
