East Orange PD salary?

Post by Giants12 » Sun Jan 13, 2019 7:39 pm

Can anyone tell me how much a police officer makes their first year and max salary? I am not able to find any information regarding top salary and how many steps. Any help would be appreciated.

I believe they top out somewhere between 80-85k for a patrol officer. Unsure of starting salary or steps.

Buddy of mine started there. He left for greener pastures. He said start pay is high but top pay is low.

However I know a number of officers that left the department the moment they could. My department has a number of officers from East Orange PD.
Good luck.

Does anyone know if east orange gives you any salary increase if you have an associates or bachelors degree?

According to their contract which ended in 2017. Starting pay was $47,999.96 with a top out $83,878.68. This is obviously 2 years old now, so just add 2% to get the new pay.

Also, according to their 2017 contract they do not get college increase however, they do have longevity pay starting at 5 years.
