Corrections to PO?

Been following the proposal to add "officer" to CO's titles.

(https://www.correctionsone.com/policy/a ... tle-in-NJ/)

But should this not pass, does the current CO cert give an easy transfer to police officer? Can't say I've seen much info on this, or if a CO would have to go through the same full process as a civilian.

Does anybody know if state correction officers had their title changed to a police officer yet?

The Title change happened on May 1st for NJDOC and NJJJC. The patches are a whole other story. It will be some time for patches to be made available.
Ok thanks

JJC Patches are available now at some places but they won’t put them on a uniform for you till July 18th when the class that’s in starts working. I can’t speak for DOC tho

Yup state correctional POLICE officers. No change in pay , no opportunity to transfer to a PD , just nonsense added to the name. basically changes nothing
