Psych evaluation

Post by TheViper23 » Fri Mar 08, 2019 7:39 pm

Hi all. I was wondering if anyone had any insight on how the psych evaluation works? Do they compare answers if this is your 2nd and or 3rd time going ? And let’s say this is your 2nd time and the first time you went it was for a different department whether pass or fail do they compare ?

It depends, if you're seeing the same psychologist and it's for two different departments I highly doubt the PD's would know, or honestly even care if there was a difference, BUT the psychologist will compare your two visits.

If you're seeing two completely different psychologist, then no, they would not compare your recent visits. That would be a huge violation of HIPPA, they can only say PASS/FAIL if they even knew where and who you saw before.

I ask because I went to the same psych office in Oakland nj last year and this year and found out recently I failed it again. I don’t get why obviously they won’t say but I feel like the doctor compared my answers to the first one. My first time I had another doctor but same office and this time I had an older man. I know there’s no way to practice for a psych evaluation but I wish I knew what it is that’s holding me back

Did you know why you failed the first one? And did you change your answers around the second time?

i didnt fail the first time. but i left there thinking i did because of how it went. you may be able to appeal and request going to a different location for the psych but i dont know the correct procedures to do so
