Last process was in the summer and we were told the class 2 academy should start September of2018. Then all those funding issues happened. All of us that interviewed last summer are still waiting to hear back lol.

Morris county corrections just hired 13 people for the jail. They started a few weeks ago. That's the only cert that's really gone out. Morris county Sheriffs Office just hired 1 veteran and he scored an 80 so dont expect a sheriff cert anytime soon if your non vet

Are the chances still high that our current scores will stay valid until March of 2020? Or is it looking like they are going to expire sooner than that now?

I don't understand, since this is a civil service position, don't you have to take the next state-wide civil service exam that covers all of the titles? This is an exam that covers just DOC now like it's its own thing? I'm sorry for the confusion, just never seen this before and i'm curious.

What’s the highest you’ve scored on the 90 minute and 2.5 hour? Just curious cause I’ve been applying a lot as well 91.2x is the highest on chiefs exams and civil service I have a 99.06 have you guys tried alternate route yet? Everyone being considered is in the background phase at this point. I did my tour and a brief sit down with IA with some quick questions and they scanned all my documents and fingerprinted me. I have no worries for my background, just waiting to hear back

Yes you're supposed to put a picture. Passport type photo. Suit and tie. Cvs does them or your post office. Hoping my rank is good enough to get in.

Well idk about passaic, but Essex was going to have a class 2 class starting in september....and then all that politics and funding issues happened....not sure when the class will be now. Hopefully January? So I would imagine the next application period for Essex deputy program wont be until april/m...

?. It's a deputy program. They *sponsor* you so you can get into the class 2 academy but you pay for it. And then you volunteer monthly hours for them for free. Usually like 20 hours a month.
