I received a call yesterday from Old Bridge asking if I was interested in coming in for an interview. I turned it down due to being on the job with an awesome department. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that this process isn't dead yet.

If you resign you no longer work for a civil service department, meaning no transfer.

It’s crazy to even hear about a department being short staffed since so many wanna be cops. Do you know how to do an intergovernmental transfer to go to sheriffs? How’s that actually work ? You’ll be hard pressed to find a department in the country that isn’t under staffed right now. It’s cyclical ...
