Re: Camden County PD Cert
I use to work there, a lot of actions from SLEO II to Full time, you will be in foot chases, vehicle pursuit, gun calls, homicides ect.... Good place to learn and gain experiences, few specialized units. Spent 3 1/2 years there I’d be lying if I say I didn’t like it. Yes there are few issues. It may...

Re: Advice
My advice, from my experience. I went through Cape May Police Academy, and only saw my new born 3rd daughter for an hour and started the academy for Class II. SLEO II route is not a bad idea. I delivered pizza and washed dishes on the side to support a family of 5. After one summer in Wildwood City ...

Re: Police Officer or Sheriff Officer
No answers are wrong here. You have to consider all the factors of long term, specially if you have a family to raise. I always went for what I would enjoy doing. Re: Camden County SLEO II
Most likely walking a beat with the duties being the same as the full time guys. Don't know about any contract, but they dramatically lowered the pay. Use to be $35 an hour latest I saw was $18. Not just walking beat, they are treated equally with respect and expectations as full time officers. You...

Re: Questions about SLEO II hiring processes
NLamendola1995 - Pretty much got it on point. I was in the winter academy at one point. I had a few buddies there who were an hour to two hours away. It’s how much you want and willing to sacrifice for this type of career. I was lucky to have a good support systems when I did, comes along way. Winte...
