Not sure what they’re doing with these but BCSO has taken a bunch of transfers from PCSO as their jail scales down.

Re: When do you think marijuana will be legal federally?
The policies banning it by local agencies is not in line with the statements from the AG. No one wants to be the test case.
My assumption is once it’s legally recognized by all states, the federal government will end up decriminalizing it as well. Likely a few years away.

Re: Rutgers PD 2022 process
I know some who have been in the process and so far, they specifically haven’t heard anything up to this point. Which isn’t a bad thing……Even though this agency received a favorable contract, things like the review board, the fact that campus police have no PERC protection and are now at-will employ...

Re: NJ S-3220
I can speak to this by fact. Newark PD has already hired using the bill and currently has a small process with candidates utilizing it. Send a resume in and they will contact you. Better yet, call directly and ask for recruiting. They will guide you. I know multiple people in the process who have gi...

They just graduated a class around the end of July. Anticipate another one by the beginning of the year….if they started the hiring process already.

Re: Civil Service Exemption Bill
Bumping this to the top. Once this bill goes into effect and the civil service released full clarification, an FAQ will be added for convenience. To avoid any and all confusion. I hope whom ever will use this bill to your advantage has their resume ready because there will be a mass exodus from quit...

Re: Rutgers Police Department
Did anyone here apply this year? Those needing the academy will need to take the fitness test. They normally reach out to those applicants needing that aspect prior to the ones that are already certified. Great insight, thank you - I am eager to learn more about this hiring process such as what com...

Re: Civil Service Exemption Bill
I have insight on this. If anyone needs any further in-depth explanation about everything, feel free to PM me. But generally, the bill is supposed to take effect in August and agencies can hire in anticipation starting in June. I know of a couple of agencies who I will absolutely not name on these f...
