The Woodbury Heights Police Department is currently accepting applications for the position of full time Police Officer. The starting salary is $44,223- to $45,107. The closing date for submitting resume including cover letter is September 13, 2019 at 11:59 PM.
Applicants must minimally possess the following qualifications:
Have a valid Basic Police Officer Certification from the New Jersey Police Training Commission, New Jersey Police Academy Alternate Route Graduate, or SLEO II candidates within their waiver period.
Be a citizen of the United States and the State of New Jersey.
Be able to read and write in the English language
Not have been convicted of any violations of the laws of the State of New Jersey or the United States, except minor traffic offenses, nor shall have been convicted of any crime or offense involving moral turpitude
Must be between 21 and 35 years old
Bachelor degree required from an accredited college or university or an associate's degree or 60 credits from an accredited college or university plus 24 months of satisfactory employment as a police officer and or an Honorable Discharge from the U.S Military
Have a valid New Jersey Driver's License
Submit to a complete background investigation
Submit to and successfully pass a written, medical and psychological exam
Submit to and successfully complete a physical fitness test and oral interview
Submit to and successfully pass drug screening
