You would be brought in as a waiver and attend a couple of classes at the academy per whatever the PTC says you need to complete. No idea how many they are looking to hire.
I submitted my application, along with my cover letter and resume on Tuesday. I know you don't know how many they are hiring but do you know as to when they plan contacting people?

I was informed they could be reaching out to candidates by February. DCJ apparently gets a lot of applicants but is a department that is constantly hiring. I have my fingers crossed.

That’s because a lot of detectives get experience there then bounce to a prosecutor’s office that pays more

I just sabotaged myself already. I submitted a hand written application 2 weeks ago. Now today I’m going to submit a typed one which is what I think they wanted. I hope something like this doesn’t cost me an opportunity

Is anyone in the process right now that has passed psych and medical and waiting to hear back on when the academy starts and everything else?

Ha I’m not the only one that remembers this. Def could screw up chances at future employment. The fact that you are continually dissatisfied with your employer doesn’t look good either because departments read around here
