Why a civil service test for a civilian position
Re: Belmar (Monmouth County)
In case you weren't aware, many positions in towns counties etc. are all civil service positions. Mechanics, DPW workers, plumbers, people in administration etc. Civil service isn't just police....

Re: Belmar (Monmouth County)
I've never heard of any dispatcher and or DPW worker taking a civil service exam. There's no way that's accurate.
Re: Belmar (Monmouth County)
Just about every civilian position for a civil service town is governed by civil service still. From the tax assessor’s office to the police. All have civil service tests for the positions.DickLarsen wrote: ↑Sat Apr 21, 2018 8:30 pm I've never heard of any dispatcher and or DPW worker taking a civil service exam.
