Hearing back from a Department

Merry Christmas and happy new year guys, I’m starting to get concerned. I had recently interviewed with two departments around December 10th. I understand it’s the holidays but I have not heard anything back for either department yet. Is it normal to not hear anything before the new year? I’m trying to remain optimistic lol.

After an interview I always write a follow up email thanking the department for their time. If you don't want to call, I would send an email thanking them, and at the end just ask when you would be receiving information about moving forward. Good luck!

If you get a 2nd interview for a department is it more than likely you’ll get a call back after? I’ve never done a two interview process. I’m guessing you get a second one cause they are interested. I’m stressed out over here lol.
