Towns that hire off the county list
Towns that hire off the county list
I was curious as to any towns (specifically in Monmouth County) that hire off the county list as opposed to the town list. I know there are a few, and have been told before that Middletown is one of those towns.
Re: Towns that hire off the county list
Middletown only goes off county list no resident list...Monmouth county sheriff as well...sometimes towns like Asbury, Holmdel, Freehold Boro will reach the county list but at the backend of the test once they exhaust their residents. All depends on the need of the towns that are hiring.
Re: Towns that hire off the county list
Middletown and Sheriff's hire from the county list. Like ata said, Asbury and Freehold Boro are the most likely to get to a county list. At the end of the the 2017 list I did receive a cert from Holmdel as well but they don't hire all that often. If you're not a disabled vet or a vet it just takes a lot of patience to be hired in Monmouth county. Good luck.

Re: Towns that hire off the county list
Thanks for the responses, I have my DV pref and a score of 99.7 in Monmouth County, so I was really just curious as to if I will hear from Middletown sooner than later.
