Newark Police
Starting a thread for everyone who’s been certified for Newark PD. I was ranked in the 60’s and replied back. Will we get notified of the next steps via email, mail, or phone and any idea as to when? Thanks and good look to all !

Re: Newark Police
Lol relax. The deadline to reply back was literally last week. They have to get their stuff in order.
But they will mail you a letter with a date and where to report.
They will also indicate in the letter documents to bring. I’ll help you out.
They’ll want copies of voter registration, CERTIFIED drivers abstract, 3 years of W2 and tax returns, copy of lease agreement.
If you live with your parents or someone, notarized letter of them saying you live with them. Basically any documents that you can’t get because they don’t apply to you get a notarized letter stating why.
Be in a business suit with a tie when you report to orientation. And just say yes ma’am no sir and don’t take it to heart. I saw people take that personal.
So now that I gave you early keys to success, try to get those documents now so you can sit pretty and not run around the 1-2 days before the date because sometimes people got the letter the day before orientation.
And I’m asking as a professional - if you have a high ranking number and can’t pass the Basic PT test - do yourself and other candidates in the process a favor, either defer or don’t waste your time. You’ll just get dropped and that’s it for you. You’ll also be taking a seat for someone who actually prepared. Something to think about.
