It depends but what department is this in regard to? Most civil service departments don’t have a PT exam as part of the process. Police academy recruits have up until week 6 of the academy to pass the PT exam

Thanks for sending that. I was unclear on the NON DQ part. Meaning if one failed, what would happen

Essex County Department of Corrections
It was just changed across the state. In order to get into the academy you now have to pass the PT requirements prior to the start of the academy. It’s a one shot deal..if you don’t meet the requirements on the first shot you’re done. They changed it due to people taking up spots in the academy that should have been prepared before starting. Just like state police.
