Campus PD

Post by JC201 » Thu Mar 26, 2020 12:11 pm

Hey I saw that Campus PD was among the jobs listed in the 2019 LEE Testing. How do the lists for that job work? Is it competitive or fairly easy to get into? What are the average scores that might get someone into Rutgers PD? Any info on this topic would be much appreciated.

Rutgers PD is a Chiefs department, they don’t go by civil service.

Ok, but what about other Campus Police Departments? I recall seeing Campus PD on the list of LEE.

Campus PD departments that are under the Civil Service agreement, typically do this to fall under the "guidelines". For the most part these departments require you to be a security guard PRIOR to being hired by the PD. Then you are essentially "Probationary" until the next civil service test. Then you would take the test, and get hired so long as you score within the top 10.

It's listed on there, BUT if you are not working for the "Public Safety" department already odds are you will not get a call or be certified for their list.
