Question about DOC

Post by bearman456 »

Hey guys quick question for those working in state DOC. Could you guys give a run on the daily routine when in the facility. I know that everyday is different but what would your day consist of if you work a housing unit?

I know a bit about Federal Corrections and know there is no roll call in the beginning of your shift and you just go to your post, not sure if you do that for State DOC or if there is a formal roll call in the beginning. Any insight would help.

Thank you in advance.

No so called roll call.....you call the day before to see what post you have if you don't have a bided job and and start time....You're what we call ASOP.....housing post, you may or may not get briefed by the officer on the post you're working....count your equipment, do your count make sure all convicts are alive and call in your count.....then wait for the daily BS

Thank you very much for the reply. How many officers work per unit and does that depend on the type of unit and/or facility?

Hello! Question. Does anyone know what shift rookies get or the first two years? Do you get 2-10pm or 6am 2pm shifts. Also is it 5 days on and 2 off? What days are you normally off for a rookie or 2 years in? Thanks

Rookies usually get 2nd shift, (2pm-10pm) and if I am mistaken I know rookies that got Mon/Tues off for the first year. It would take years to get a piece of the weekend off.

You will most probably get 2nd shift which is 2-10pm you work five days straight and get two days off in a row. As a rookie you will probably either get Monday-Tuesday off. Tuesday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Thursday off. Some rookies get lucky and get Thursday-Friday off. You will not have a Friday-Saturday or Sunday-Monday for a few years till you get a 5 day bid as a regular officer. And you won’t have Saturday-Sunday off for much much longer after that.

Dedicated software development teams can offer an extensive talent pool and competitive environment. In addition to developers, dedicated teams often include UX/UI designers, Front-end developers, Back-end developers, QA managers, business analysts, and data scientists. In addition, enterprises can hire additional positions like DevOps Engineers or project managers https://mlsdev.com/blog/how-to-create-social-media-app
