Thanks for the information. So I take it after 10 year’s 85,000? Am currently making 90,000 however I would like to be in law-enforcement. Is there overtime guaranteed? So 40,000 while your in the prison any chance I can make 60,000 on my first year if I work, 10 hours of over time a week?
I thank you so much for this information as, its really driving me crazy, not knowing anything in regards to pay and etc.

You think its that bad?
I believe corrections is a stepping stone and its opens the door to achieve higher opportunities in law enforcement.
90,000 job in a job, that you work every single weekend for 12 hours a day is worth it? Every holiday being at work, I work in retail. And having your job at risk every month due to sales performance if you fall short?
Am I missing something here?

Pay is 34k in the academy and 40k after graduation. Max pay is 85k and takes 11-1/2 years. Not every institution has overtime so don’t count on it because you have no idea what institution you would be at.
