Waiver extension for class II
Anyone know if a town can apply for a waiver even after three years if you have been working as a full time class II? I heard if you work full time as a class II and get hired after the three year mark, towns can still apply for a waiver, but I can’t find anything online that confirms that.

Re: Waiver extension for class II
there has been so much back and forth about this over the years. I remember trying to find answers when I was a SLEOII. you can call the PTC all you want and you'll never get the right answer. I don't even think they know. I don't know how some guys even let their waivers get close to expiring unless they're too picky or wait for something which you can never do in this state.
From what I recall, the PTC tightened the regulations to 3 years no exceptions, but of course, they made exceptions. One of which for someone I know, for a unique situation. Either way, yes the rumor was 4 years if you were with the same agency. But once again, thats a rumor.

Thanks guys. I’ll post if it comes down to that and how it works out. Still got a little time left on the waiver.
