Did you call in and ask before you got a COE? Or is this after ? Still waiting to hear anything for myselfJRMVP wrote: ↑Wed Jun 23, 2021 11:57 ambest of luck!Chargers01 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 23, 2021 9:51 am Gang- I have a family vacation coming up this weekend and I was losing sleep with possibly missing the physical so I decided to call the selection unit this morning. Hopefully this will give some guys some relief.
Class 162 is just about full. If you don't get a COE by Thursday at the latest you will either be deferred to class 163 or you didn't make it. Dont expect to get a COE Friday and be expected to make the physical on Sat.
Early AUgust is still the target for class 162 but an exact date has not been finalized
The CRB is a pass/fail.
If you pass the CRB, there is an internal ranking system which explains why some who took the CRB later are getting COE vs some of took the CRB earlier (makes sense)
Does that mean that a trooper from class 161 is better than a trooper 162 is better than a trooper from class 163 ? NO
They just need a logistical system to group candidates.
There was a large group that was deferred from 161 to 162 and they expect a group to be deferred to 163.
When will deferred emails be going out ?
Answer: Soon
So, a few more COE going out and if you get one, Congrats !
But as today and tomorrow go by and we haven't heard anything - the likelihood is we are looking at 163.
A NJ State Trooper is a NJ State Trooper and you join the most elite law enforcement organization in the whole country.
You clas number doesn't matter.
Good luck gang.

Re: NJSP 2020 cycle
Toti- did you say that you are 2nd time around at the CRB ??
When you didn’t pass the first rime - did you have to start the process all over again ? Or just go back to the CRB ??

No, first time. But like Greg said, you'd have to do entire process from start again.Chargers01 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 24, 2021 12:59 pm Toti- did you say that you are 2nd time around at the CRB ??
