Discussions for New Jersey State Police
Hey all, wanted to start a thread for class 161 as there are none out there. As we start in August I was wondering where everyone else stands with their process right now. I just concluded with my background investigation a couple of weeks ago.
yeah, I assumed that as well after I did the calculations from the last pool. People weren't doing their panel boards until November or December, which was 2 or 3 months away from the February class. You say different, what are they doing differently, is it a good or bad different? He just told me the obvious, be punctual and forthcoming.
Hey guys I met with my investigator about a month ago still haven't heard any thing about if my investigation is done yet. Originally he said it would take him about 3 weeks to be done with it, I would definitely guess it would take a little longer than that. On average how long did your guys BI's take just to have some type of time frame to go by ?
@Naubert33 Originally when my investigator came to meet me he just mentioned that they were trying to speed things up and requested my medical paperwork but as of a few days ago told me to hold on to them. Safe to assume that it is still the same process as the previous classes.
@JA1234567 Based off of what I've been reading when you have your home visit your investigator has gathered all of the information he needs and is done with the background investigation. Our academy doesn't start until August and we still have the CRB, Med/Psych, PEPP and academy awareness. We should be hearing back by the end of next month. If anyone is reading this and can shed some light on what to expect from the oral board any insight would be greatly appreciated.
@Kilchi123, He did say something along those lines too. To have my medical ready just in case, he wouldn't need it, but have anything medical related. To be completely honest, I wouldn't know who to ask or where to go. I don't really go to the hospital. But, I guess I will have to figure it out if I move on.
