As of this past week, there still was no commitment on testing this year. Most often, it is toward the end of April that more is known.. I was recently told that under the new system the NJCSC is using to reserve testing sites and coordinate candidates' testing dates, times, and locations, the LEE cycle could be accomplished with only three months lead time in planning. We may not know for sure this time until the announcement is set to be released and applications accepted.

Last LEE cycle (2016), the NJCSC actually released a one-page flyer in April to all police departments indicating that the announcement was coming on July 1, 2016. Ideally, they will do the same this cycle.
Great Thank you for the update. I'll check back in towards the end of April to see if anything comes out.

appreciate it

I was hoping for a 2018 announcement, but at least they are giving out the timely notice that the exam announcement is being held off until next year.

----

According to the NJCSC as of 4/8/2018 on their website:

Law Enforcement Examination (LEE)

The next Law Enforcement Examination (LEE) announcement is tentatively planned to be issued in 2019.

----

This is a distinct change from the prior notice that indicated they at least wanted to accept applications this year. Now all indications are that they are waiting to do everything in 2019.

Hi, I have a question concerning age. I took the test when I was 34yrs old, I am currently 35yrs old. Do I still have a chance of getting in with a municipality or will I have to settle for something else????... Score 92.8

With respect to NJ Civil Service, your eligibility will remain through the end of this NJ LEE pool of scores. The only difference is that you will go under the PERS pension system rather than PFRS unless you have qualifying time in service to reduce your age for PFRS eligibility.
