Make sure you sign on the bottom after it’s typed,on the cert letter you received up top is listed what needs to be included in the letter,if you don’t mind me asking what was your score and rank?

Greetings, I scored an 83.06 Non-Vet status on the exam and I am an Essex County resident. However, I’ve also selected to be appointed by various neighboring counties. It seems that the appointing authorities are either finishing up with the DV and Vets since I’ve seen a 99 Non-vet get certifications. I know I still have a long wait until they reach my score in the 80s range. I’m staying confident and I hope you all are too. Good luck everyone.

someone mentioned it early and tbh i thought it would be crazy that you'd have to hand write a letter for a job in 2020 but hey better safe to ask then to assume.Avaric3 wrote: ↑Sat May 23, 2020 10:01 amAccepting certs will not impact your eligibility with other hiring agencies. However, not responding to a cert, even if you are not interested COULD remove you from all eligible pools. A lot of times it wont matter if you don’t reply to something but other agencies will remove you from the eligible pool completely for not replying at all. So moral of the story is ALWAYS reply to a cert.rd589860 wrote: ↑Sat May 23, 2020 7:42 am If you send a letter accepting a cert does that take you off of the the list for other departments? Idk where anyone is getting the handwritten thing from. I’ve always replied to certs in a typed up letter and left space for it to be printed and signed by myself at the bottom. I then would mail it in (preferably certified mail that way you can track it and there is evidence you sent something to them in case it is not received)

It’s common sense......might have had a better shot of them not throwing it in the trash by using magazine clippings.....Cityairbender06 wrote: ↑Sat May 23, 2020 1:17 pmI sent mine out hand written, I didn't sign it since the instruction didn't day sign with signature.rd589860 wrote: ↑Sat May 23, 2020 12:59 pmsomeone mentioned it early and tbh i thought it would be crazy that you'd have to hand write a letter for a job in 2020 but hey better safe to ask then to assume.Avaric3 wrote: ↑Sat May 23, 2020 10:01 am Accepting certs will not impact your eligibility with other hiring agencies. Does anyone know what counties or departments do a preliminary PT test? I was certified by a couple places in Ocean county last process before moving and they have you do a non disqualifying PT test. Just wondering what other departments or counties do the same.
