Someone in the earlier comments said they did. He or she just said they just received 1

Well, what standards are they talking about to be licensed annually, that’s my question.

By standards what they mean is basically what it’s like being in the military for example uniform code, your skills on the field whether or not you are productive and as well as what you do on a daily, weekly,or monthly basis, everything will be monitored that way they know who’s doing the right thing and who’s not.It states in the article as well that it’s still being revised so I’m sure at a later date they will emphasize what exactly they will change.

If anyone is wondering what the NJDOC academy will be like here’s a video.

Police academy is similar just a few different things and not as bitter. But this pretty much sums it up so yeah, thought I’d share.

Depends where you go. I've done both Sea Girt and Monmouth County. Monmouth was very different than DOC.

It seems certifications have been frozen. I haven’t seen any posts about new certs from any departments or corrections. I’ve accepted my cert and haven’t heard anything. I’m waiting on more certs from either corrections or other departments. I recently got interviewed for an office job, and I am cautious on moving forward. Any tips or advice you guys can give me because I know if I get a chance to get in the uniform, I’m jumping at it head first. Thank you.
