By my understanding, parole and DCJ go into the academy together. Since I had my interview with dcj 2 weeks ago am I Still eligible for this academy coming up? If I’m lucky enough to keep going in the process obviously.

Yes, u should be. The academy is parole, DCJ, and JJC. If you had an interview 2 weeks ago, that timing seems to line up

The guys in my class from DCJ knew a couple months before the academy that they were going in. I think you’ll end up in the January class

Why not just live at the academy?

I’ve already lived there for the DOC academy. I’m good on that bud.

LOL fair enough, though it's vastly different living there under DCJ vs DOC. But on another note, with COVID, I don't know if they're still allowing recruits to stay there.

Actually yesterday i has my covid test and there was an instructor from the DCJ there.. he mentioned that there might be some sort of list on who is allowed to stay based off distance lived from the academy.. he also said don’t quote him on that but sounds legit.

Yeah that sounds like something they would do for people coming a long distance. I was an hour and 45 minutes away which would have been a nightmare of a commute if I couldn't live on base.
