Essex County Police Academy Alternate Route
Re: Essex County Public Safety Academy Alternate Route 2018
Are you 30+? Ive had academy directors straight up tell me that they prefer candidates that are younger because I have a family that relies on my income and I'll be foregoing a salary for 6 months. However, I've also had agencies that seem to appreciate my life experience. Different strokes I suppose.

22 with a good income and amount saved up in the bank. Enough to afford school and support myself through the academyNjWannaBe wrote: ↑Wed Nov 28, 2018 5:54 pm Are you 30+? Damn. I'm in a similar spot (About ~$70k saved up specifically for housing / academy / the job hunt) but just a different age bracket. Stinks to be removed from the hiring list completely, but what can you do about it. Congratulations to those who are moving on.

I haven’t received anything yet in email or through police app. Makes me nervous lol

I've learned that no news is good news. Better to have a chance at still being selected than being definitively rejected.

Still nothing new for anyone, other than emails sent out?
Anyone get something from policeapp yet?
